Privacy Policy

The short version

• This website has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no cookies.
• The only personal information it asks for is what you type into the contact form, and it is used only to reply to you.
• We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we are

This website, alikkonovalenko.com, is operated by Energize Builders Inc., a California corporation ("we", "us"), at 3311 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016. It presents Alik Konovalenko, the company's founder and chief executive. For any privacy question or request, email hello@alikkon.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic you choose and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, the servers that deliver this site receive technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider records this in server logs for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this information to identify you or to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, session recording, chat widgets, social media plug-ins, advertising tags or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so visiting a page does not send your information to font or image services.

How we use it

• To read and reply to your inquiry, by email or, if you gave a number, by phone.
• To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
• To protect the site and the form against spam, abuse and attacks.
• To comply with the law.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing because you used the contact form. We do not send automated or prerecorded calls or text messages.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers who handle information only on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. hosts the website and runs the contact form.
• Resend delivers the contact form message to our inbox. It keeps message content and delivery records for up to 30 days.
• Google LLC provides our email through Google Workspace, where your message is stored.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

We do not sell or share

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and our replies for as long as they are useful for the conversation and any project that follows, and normally for no more than three years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Server logs are kept for a limited period under our hosting provider's retention settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because this site does not track visitors across websites or over time, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We treat both signals as a request not to be tracked, which is how the site already works.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@alikkon.com. We will answer within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information the law requires us to keep. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), with security headers and a strict content security policy. The contact form checks every field, accepts messages only from this site, and filters automated spam. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Children

This site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

The site is run from the United States for people interested in building in California. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so at the top of the page.
